Melissa joined the Shomo-Madsen team in July, 2022. She attended Colfax-Mingo Schools before eventually graduating from Newton High School. So, she is a homegrown local! Melissa and her husband, Ben, love to travel when time allows. They moved back to Colfax in September of 2021 and together have five children and two pets. They enjoy chasing their children, so you’ll find them at the UNI rugby fields, softball fields, baseball fields, local Boy Schouts or enjoying the outdoors, especially water at the lake or pool.
