Sarah Thompson joined the Shomo-Madsen team as an administrative assistant in July of 2021. She has a B.A. in English from the University of Iowa and serves on the Governor’s Empower Rural Iowa- Invest Taskforce since its inception in 2018.
She has two children, Abby, 32, and Ty, 21, and a son-in-law Eric, a dog named Groot, and two cats Morty & Lucy. She has been married to her husband Cale since 1989.
She is active in Economic Development and owns her own consulting business Rural Revitalization LLC, working with communities with populations under 5,000. In her free time Sarah likes to read, garden, knit, quilt, and take naps.
